Supported files and sizes

The photo and video formats Fika accepts, and the size limits per file.

Fika handles the formats phones and cameras produce, at the full quality you uploaded.

Photo formats

JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, and AVIF are all accepted. HEIC and HEIF photos from iPhones work too: they’re converted to widely compatible JPEGs on your device before they upload, so they open anywhere later.

Video formats

MP4, MOV, M4V, AVI, MKV, and WebM are all accepted.

Size limits

  • Photos: up to 100 MB each.
  • Videos: up to 5 GB each.

If a file is over the limit or in a format that isn’t listed, the upload is declined with a message telling you which. See upload problems for what to do.

Stored at full quality

Your original file is kept as uploaded, without extra compression, so nothing loses detail. That original is what counts toward your group’s storage, and it’s exactly what you get back when you download.
