Fika on your phone

The difference between the Fika Photos app and the Fika website on a phone, and what each one can do.

Updated September 21, 2026

There are two ways to use Fika Photos on a phone, and they aren’t quite the same thing:

  • The Fika Photos app, installed from the App Store or Google Play.
  • The Fika website, at app.fikaphotos.com, opened in Safari, Chrome, or whichever browser you use.

Both sign you into the same account and show the same photos. They differ in what you can do once you’re there. The app is generally the better one on a phone, and for a few group-management tasks it’s the only one of the two that works.

Request a takedown Yes Yes Yes

The row worth knowing about is group settings. If you’re an owner or admin, the app can change your group’s settings but a phone browser can’t. A phone browser will tell you the feature needs a computer. So on a phone, reach for the app.

Which should I use?

  • Most of the time, use the app. It’s faster, it uploads straight from your photo library, and it can do more of the admin work.
  • Use a browser on your phone if you’d rather not install anything, or to open a duplicate review.
  • Use a computer to set up a group in the first place, to handle billing, or to run a slideshow.
