Why Fika exists.
We built Fika because a group’s story deserves a home that lasts longer than the group chat.
We know what it’s like
to lose that home.
For years, groups like ours kept their photos on Shutterfly Share Sites. When it shut down in 2023, we were left without the shared place our photos had lived in for years.
The alternatives never quite fit. A group chat was easy in the moment, but hard to look back through. Personal photo libraries had shared albums, but separate owners and new invitations for every event became a hassle. We wanted something that belonged to the group.
So we started building Fika. Everyone can add from their phone. Each event has a place. And when a season ends or a new organizer takes over, the story stays together.

That’s the spirit the product is named for. Fika Photos is where your group slows down for a minute to look back at the year, pass the photos around the table, and stay close to the moments you made together.
Small, and focused
We’re a small team, and we plan to stay focused. We’d rather do a few things really well than a hundred things halfway. When you email us, one of the people who built the thing you’re writing about is the person writing back.
Built to stay
We’ve been on the wrong side of a shutdown, so this part isn’t abstract for us. Our business is simple: you pay for storage. That gives us a predictable way to keep building for the years ahead, while your originals remain yours to download anytime.
