Referral Program Terms
Effective October 22, 2026
These terms govern the Fika Photos referral program. They supplement the Terms of Use, which continue to apply in full. Where the two disagree about a subscription, billing or cancellation matter, the Terms of Use govern.
Fika Photos is operated by Fika, LLC.
1. WHO CAN REFER
Any user who is a member of an organization, in any role, including viewers, can refer. Each user has a different referral code for each organization they are a member of. When sending a referral, the code sent identifies which organization receives the credit.
An organization on the free plan can refer and can earn credit. It cannot redeem that credit until it moves to a paid plan.
2. CREDIT BELONGS TO THE ORGANIZATION
Referral credit belongs to the organization, not to the member who shared the link. It is applied to that organization’s account and can be redeemed by the organization’s owner. The member who referred receives no separate payment or credit, and leaving the organization does not transfer or refund any credit they brought in.
Credit has no cash value. It is not transferable between organizations, cannot be exchanged for money, and is not refundable.
3. WHAT EACH SIDE RECEIVES
The referred organization receives a discount on its first invoice. The referring organization receives account credit. The current amounts are shown wherever the program is offered inside the app, and we may change them at any time for referrals that have not yet been made.
The referred organization’s discount depends on an active promotional offer. Where none is configured, referrals still attribute and the referring organization can still earn credit, but the referred organization receives no discount.
4. WHEN CREDIT IS EARNED
A referral is recorded when a new organization is created using a referral code or link. Recording a referral does not earn anything by itself.
Credit is earned only once all of the following are true:
- 4.1. The referred organization is on a paid plan.
- 4.2. It has paid for two months, or has been on a yearly plan for one month.
- 4.3. Those payments have cleared and are past the window in which they could be refunded or disputed.
The referred organization must make its first payment within 12 months of being created. A referral whose organization never starts paying within that period earns nothing.
If a payment behind an earned referral is later refunded, reversed or disputed, we may withdraw the credit. Where the credit has already been applied to an invoice we will not reclaim it, but we will not issue further credit on that referral.
5. APPLYING CREDIT
For an organization with an active paid subscription, earned credit is placed on the billing account and comes off the next invoice automatically.
For an organization on the free plan, earned credit is held on the account and comes off the first invoice after the organization moves to a paid plan.
Held credit expires 12 months after it is earned. Credit that has already been applied to an account does not expire. Expiry is measured per reward, from the date that reward was earned, and is not extended.
6. LIMITS AND ABUSE
Referrals are limited to three per organization in any 30-day period.
You may not refer yourself. A code cannot be used by the member who owns it, and it cannot be used to create an organization owned by the person whose code it is.
We may withhold, withdraw or refuse credit, and may suspend an organization’s participation in the program, where we reasonably believe a referral is not genuine. That includes creating organizations solely to obtain credit, coordinated sign-ups, using automated means to distribute codes, and misrepresenting Fika Photos in order to obtain a referral. A referral held for review is decided by a person; we may ask for information before deciding.
7. CHANGES AND ENDING THE PROGRAM
We may change these terms, change the amounts, or end the program at any time.
If the program ends or is paused, credit already earned remains on the account and is still subject to the expiry in section 5. Referrals that have been recorded but have not yet met the conditions in section 4 will not earn credit once the program has ended.
8. CONTACT
Questions about the program, or about a specific referral, can be sent to [email protected].
