Change your password

Update your password from account settings while you're signed in.

Updated July 9, 2026

If you know your current password and want to swap it for a new one, you can do it from settings without signing out.

Change it

  1. Open Settings: on a computer, click the menu (the ⋯ icon) next to your name at the bottom-left of the sidebar and choose Settings; on your phone, tap More, then Settings. Go to Account.
  2. In the Sign-in section, find the Password row and choose the edit (pencil) icon.
  3. Enter your current password, then your new password twice, and confirm.

You’ll be asked for your current password as a security check, so no one can change it from an unattended screen. Once it’s saved, you’ll see a confirmation and your new password is active right away.

Password requirements

Your new password needs at least 12 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a symbol.

Forgot your current one?

If you can’t remember your current password, use the reset flow instead, which verifies you by email. See reset a forgotten password.

The Password option only appears for accounts that sign in with a password. If you signed up another way, there won’t be a password to change here.
